Christmas Bazaar - A Great Success!

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who worked so hard at this Christmas Bazaar to make it such a great success. It has been the effort of both the school and the parish volunteers and everyone that lent their support. There was a lovely atmosphere. It is always true where there is unity of purpose there is strength.

I can say that on the day we raised a total of £5,586.97 and donations are still coming in!

This is an unbelievable amount and shows what can be achieved when people come together.

A message from the Headteacher of St Anselm's Mrs Laura White:

I would like to thank Fr Pat and everyone who supported this year's Parish Christmas Bazaar.

When St Anselm's was successful in gaining government funding which would cover the majority of the cost towards replacing the School roof, the governors were faced with the challenge of finding the 10% contribution of £20,600.

Thanks to your generosity at the bazaar and through other donations from parishioners, over £11,500 has been raised to date. Generosity on such a huge scale is overwhelming; I am so proud to be part of a parish that supports its School and in doing so is investing in the parish of the future. On behalf of the governors, staff and children of St Anselm's, thank you and God Bless you all.
